Lazecký TRAPER Junior 54″ / 58″ – Kids Recurve Bow 14–22 lb

Lazecký TRAPER Junior is a Czech takedown recurve bow designed for children and junior archers.

It is available in 54″ and 58″ lengths, in right- and left-handed versions and in draw weights of 14, 16, 18, 20 and 22 lb.

The choice of bow should be based primarily on the child's body proportions, actual draw length, experience and ability to control the bow safely.

TRAPER Junior is manufactured by Lazecký in the Czech Republic.

It uses a modern takedown recurve construction with a wooden riser and removable laminated limbs.

The takedown design makes transport, storage and inspection of individual components easier.

TRAPER Junior 54″

The shorter version has a nominal bow length of 54″ and a manufacturer-listed dimension of approximately 1310 mm.

For this version:

• brace height: 16.5–18 cm,
• recommended arrow length: 600–760 mm.

The shorter bow may be more suitable for smaller archers or children with a shorter draw length.

TRAPER Junior 58″

The longer version has a nominal length of 58″ and a manufacturer-listed dimension of approximately 1410 mm.

For this version:

• brace height: 18.5–20 cm,
• recommended arrow length: 650–760 mm.

The 58-inch version may better suit taller children and junior archers with a longer draw.

Draw weights from 14 to 22 lb

Available options are:

Lower draw weights are generally more appropriate for early technique training.

Higher draw weights should only be selected when the young archer can control the bow consistently without leaning backwards, lifting the shoulders or losing control of the string.

Right- and left-handed versions

TRAPER Junior is available for both right- and left-handed archers.

A right-handed archer normally holds the bow in the left hand and draws with the right. The orientation is reversed for a left-handed bow.

Eye dominance and the child's natural shooting posture may also be relevant when selecting the correct version.

Selected ash riser

The contoured riser is made from selected ash wood.

Its shape provides a defined grip and an integrated area for guiding the arrow.

With the recommended arrows and natural feather fletching, a separate arrow rest is not required.

Ash and fiberglass limbs

The removable limbs combine ash wood and fiberglass.

They use a tapered profile in which limb thickness changes progressively along their length.

Before shooting, an adult should inspect the limbs, fiberglass, mounting points and bowstring for damage.

Brownell Dacron B-50 bowstring

A Brownell Dacron B-50 USA bowstring is included.

The bowstring must correspond to the selected bow length and should be inspected regularly for damaged fibres, worn serving and correct seating on the limb tips.

Recommended arrows

TRAPER Junior can be used with:

For the 58″ version, recommended arrow lengths are approximately 650–760 mm.

Arrow length and spine must always match the child's actual draw length and the draw weight of the bow.
