🎯 Preview from Premium Content: Metronome Training & Fundamentals of Asian Archery

This video serves as a preview of what you can find in the members-only section of the website.

It starts with footage from the second (advanced) training series, designed for more experienced archers. The use of a metronome here helps improve rhythm, body coordination, and shot consistency — key elements for mastering instinctive shooting.

At the end of the video, you'll find a glimpse of the first (beginner) training series, which guides you step by step through the foundations of Asian archery.
New episodes are released gradually – typically 1 to 2 per month.

🥇 Episode 1 – Series Introduction

In the opening video I'll show you what to expect throughout the series. We'll talk about why Asian archery is so unique, its benefits, and what your journey from absolute beginner to advanced archer can look like.

You'll learn:

  • how the lessons are structured,

  • everything we'll cover step by step,

  • what you should prepare before starting,

  • how to watch the videos and practise each technique effectively.

How To: Getting Started with Asian Archery – Choosing Your Bow and Gear (Part 2)

In this episode, we'll explore how to start your journey into Asian (traditional) archery. You'll learn which bow is best for beginners, what gear is truly necessary, and which things can wait. We'll also talk about the differences between various bow types, how to choose the right draw weight (poundage), arrows, protective equipment, and other small details that can significantly shape your first experiences with shooting.

This series is designed for complete beginners as well as those transitioning from modern archery to a traditional style inspired by Asia — such as Turkish, Mongolian, or Korean bows.

Episode 3 – Stance and Body Position

In the third episode of our series "How to Start with Asian Archery", we focus on one of the most essential foundations of shooting – stance and body alignment. A correct stance provides stability, natural movement, and lays the groundwork for accurate and instinctive shooting. In this video, I guide you step by step through the traditional stance used in Asian archery, show you how to position your body, and how to avoid the most common mistakes beginners make.
This part is a crucial building block – without the right stance, neither the draw nor the release will work properly.

Episode 4 – How To: Getting Started with Asian Archery

Topic: Draw, Three-Point Line, Arrow Pass, and Shoulder Blade Lock

In this instructional members-only video, we focus on the essential foundations of Asian instinctive archery. We'll cover drawing to anchor, maintaining proper body alignment through the so-called arrow pass (the axis between the arrow pass, anchor point, and elbow), and the correct engagement of the shoulder blade lock, which contributes to a stable stance and a smooth release.

Episode 5: How To – Sneprlis: Three-Phase Arrow Acceleration ("Overdraw")

Topic: Sneprlis – Negative draw, elbow activation, khatré (final acceleration)

In this tutorial video for members, we focus on the Sneprlis technique, which significantly increases arrow speed and power in traditional Asian archery. We break it down into three key phases: negative draw ("overdraw") to store energy, elbow activation for stability and dynamic release, and khatré – the final acceleration that combines all previous steps for maximum arrow speed.

📌 In this video you will find:

  • a demonstration of the "overdraw" (negative draw point)

  • activation of the elbow just before release

  • integration of all phases for maximum arrow acceleration

➡️ Sneprlis can be described as a "stored energy" technique, optimizing the shot and arrow performance, similar to traditional overdraw methods described in classic articles on traditional archery.

✅ Ideal for anyone starting with Asian archery or looking to improve their thumb release for better accuracy.

Episode 6: How To – Thumb Release – Correct Shooting Technique

Topic: Thumb release, clean and precise arrow release

📌 In this video you will find:

  • proper grip of the arrow and string using the thumb

  • step-by-step technique for a stable and accurate release

  • tips to avoid the most common mistakes
